Todd Schmidt, PhD (Colonel, Retired)
Retired senior military officer, national defense professional, educator, and published author working in non-profit, public, and private-sector, senior leadership positions. I have nearly 30 years of experience leading, managing, and working as a member of a team in national security, defense, and military operations.
I have executive experience in creating and leading small non-profit organizations. My current role as Chief Academic Officer of the U.S. Diplomatic Studies Foundation is exceptionally fulfilling as we support the professional development, education, and training of professionals that work in or aspire to work in the interagency arena. I also lead, as Director, the Simons Center for the Ethical Leadership and Interagency Cooperation, hosting multiple speaker series in the Kansas City, Des Moines, and Fort Leavenworth areas.
