Following service in the US Air Force, I completed medical school and internship at Tufts University, psychiatry residency at Yale University, and fellowships in research at Yale and neuropsychiatry at the Beth Israel Hospital/Harvard University. Since completing training, I have provided direct clinical care in neuropsychiatry, psychopharmacology, and geriatric psychiatry, in addition to consultation in forensic mental health and legal medicine. I am ABPN board certified in general and forensic psychiatry, and received Massachusetts DMH forensic certification. I have consulted in public and private sectors with attorneys, courts, businesses, and government agencies, and have given numerous presentations in forensic psychiatry and risk management in the US and abroad.
